Job Specification – Groundworks Gang (3 Operatives)
Location: Darlington
Start Date: Monday 10th August
Duration: Up to 2 Years
Hours: Monday to Friday (Site Hours)
Rate: £21.00–£23.00 per hour (depending on role and experience)
Payment: CIS or PAYE
Edge is recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Gang to start on Monday 10th August on a long-term project in Darlington.
Gang Required
- 1x 360 Excavator Operator – Valid CPCS or NPORS card and Safety Critical Medical required.
- 2x Groundworkers – One operative must hold a Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card (NVQ Level 2 Groundworks).
Duties
- Installing drainage to depths of 1.0m–1.5m
- Laying pipes and associated drainage works
- Excavating and backfilling trenches
- Constructing manholes and chambers
- General groundworks duties
- Operating plant safely (360 Operator)
- Working efficiently as part of an experienced gang
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card for the 360 Excavator Operator
- Safety Critical Medical (360 Operator essential)
- Valid CSCS Card for Groundworkers
- One Groundworker must hold a Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card (NVQ Level 2 Groundworks)
- Previous drainage and groundworks experience
- Full PPE
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
