We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Morning Shift Supervisor at our Northampton site located in Nether Heyford to oversee all night shift operations Monday to Friday 06:00 to 15:00 The successful candidate will supervise a warehouse staff of 3 operatives, coordinate outbound home delivery & inbound stock movements, maintain outbound / inbound stock accuracy, and ensure the highest levels of safety and performance across the operation.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate Morning shift warehouse activities, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently, white glove detail for customer assurance.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks.
- Monitor inventory levels, returns processes, track orders, and assist with stock control and order fulfilment, maintain recycle daily/ weekly collections, Yard management.
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management, stock inbound.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and collaboration within the warehouse team.
- Be a key point of contact for resolving any day-to-day operational issues that may arise.
Your Profile
- Proven ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory control tools.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ambitious, motivated, and eager to take on more responsibility and grow professionally.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
- Valid Counterbalance licence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Lead, motivate, and train a team of warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality goals.
