Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and energetic Out Of School Assistant to join our team at Acorns in Harrogate. The role involves supporting the Room Leader in creating a positive and relaxing environment for children.
Duties
- Assist the Room Leader in delivering engaging and relaxing activities to wind down after school
- Monitor and engage with children during free-play
- Help maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment
- Collaborate with the Room Leader to plan exciting activities for the holidays
- Serve meals to children and encourage their understanding of healthy meals on our bodies. Ensuring that they receive this before and after school especially.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- A proactive and organised approach to tasks
Hours:
Monday - Friday 7.30am till 9.00am and 2.45pm till 6.00
Opportunity to increase hours and work between these times at our Nursery is available.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £13.86 per hour (Qualified) £12.86 (Unqualified)
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
