Due to continued growth and an increasing number of projects, We are looking to recruit an experienced Joiner / Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team working across student accommodation and residential refurbishment projects in the Newcastle area (mainly Heaton & Jesmond).
About the Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of joinery and multi-trade works within predominantly on Student Properties in Newcastle (Jesmond , Heaton).
The successful candidate will be dependable, motivated and take pride in producing quality work. You will be comfortable working in both occupied and vacant properties, able to identify issues beyond the original scope of work, and committed to maintaining excellent standards while representing our company professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake high-quality joinery, repair, refurbishment and replacement works.
- Carry out first-fix and second-fix carpentry to a professional standard.
- Install kitchens, fire doors, fitted furniture and other bespoke joinery.
- Assist with other trades, including basic plumbing, plastering and general building works where required.
- Identify defects and report any additional works required.
- Work safely and comply with all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and site requirements.
- Work independently when required while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Essential Requirements
- Time-served Joiner with a recognised City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Own tools.
- Competent in first-fix carpentry, framing and structural joinery.
- Competent in second-fix and finishing joinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of finish.
- Confident working independently and within a team.
- Good understanding of current health and safety regulations.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the construction industry.
- Experience fitting fire doors.
- Kitchen installation experience.
- Furniture fitting and bespoke joinery.
- Experience working within domestic refurbishment and high-end residential properties.
- General multi-trade experience, including basic plumbing, plastering and other building maintenance works.

- £33,000 - £37,000 determined by skills and experience.
Working hours
- Mon – Thursday 8am - 4.30pm ,
- Friday 8am – 4PM
