Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage classroom activities across various subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and on-task
- Implement lesson plans provided by teachers or adapt activities as needed to suit student needs
- Maintain discipline and promote a respectful, safe learning environment for all students
- Support students with special educational needs, including those with autism or other disabilities
- Assist with behavioral management strategies and provide mentoring or tutoring where appropriate
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress or concerns
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages creativity, participation, and positive social interactions
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of special education principles and experience supporting students with disabilities or autism
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Background in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring roles preferred
- Ability to adapt to diverse classroom environments and manage multiple responsibilities
- Creative writing skills are advantageous for engaging students in literacy activities
