Role Overview
This role is for a physiotherapist who can operate beyond traditional pain-management models and contribute to a performance and rehabilitation-focused service.
The successful candidate will:
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal conditions independently
- Transition patients from pain → rehab → performance
- Deliver strength and conditioning-based rehabilitation
- Contribute to a high-performance clinic culture
This is not a passive role. It requires initiative, accountability, and engagement in building both clinical outcomes and business growth.
Core Responsibilities
1. Clinical Delivery
- Conduct thorough subjective and objective assessments
- Formulate clear, evidence-based diagnoses and management plans
- Deliver hands-on treatment where appropriate (manual therapy, education)
- Prescribe structured rehabilitation programmes (gym-based where possible)
- Progress patients through staged rehab (acute → load tolerance → performance)
- Maintain high clinical standards and documentation (SOAP format)
2. Patient Journey & Retention
- Set clear expectations from the first session (timeline, frequency, outcomes)
- Actively manage patient adherence and engagement
- Address drop-off risk early (missed sessions, disengagement)
- Drive patients toward completion of care plans (6–10+ sessions where appropriate)
- Ensure each patient leaves with clarity on next steps
3. Strength & Conditioning Integration
- Confidently prescribe gym-based rehab
- Progress exercises from basic → advanced loading
- Understand and apply principles of:
- Load management
- Progressive overload
- Movement quality
- Integrate force plate or objective testing where applicable
4. Professional Standards
- Deliver a high-energy, professional service at all times
- Maintain clinic presentation and organisation
- Communicate clearly and confidently with patients
- Take ownership of your caseload and outcomes
5. Contribution to Business Growth
- Participate in content creation (Instagram, education, marketing)
- Maintain a professional LinkedIn and Instagram presence aligned with Pendulum
- Contribute to clinic initiatives (events, talks, workshops)
- Support internal referrals (e.g. Pilates, S&C, physio services)
6. Team Engagement
- Attend team meetings and CPD sessions
- Contribute to case discussions and shared learning
- Engage with the team environment positively and proactively
- Be open to feedback and continuous development
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Patient retention (average sessions per patient)
- Rebooking rate and diary utilisation
- Patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Contribution to clinic revenue
- Engagement with team and business initiatives
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- CSP membership (or eligibility)
- Strong interest in MSK and sports rehabilitation
- Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in strength & conditioning environments
- Experience working with athletes or sports teams
- Understanding of force plate testing / objective metrics
- Additional qualifications (S&C, sports rehab, etc.)
