We are seeking a caring, reliable, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our busy team. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Working Hours
- 4–5 days per week
- Includes weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
- Additional hours may be available during busy periods
Duties Include
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels and facilities to a high standard
- Feeding, watering, and caring for dogs in our kennels
- Exercising and supervising dogs safely
- Monitoring animal health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns
- Assisting with grooming and general animal care
- Maintaining accurate records and following kennel procedures
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Supporting the team with day-to-day kennel operations
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have a genuine passion for animal welfare
- Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Have good communication skills
- Previous experience working in a kennel, boarding facility, rescue centre, veterinary practice, dog daycare, or similar animal care environment
