We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role provides strategic financial leadership while overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting informed decision-making across the organisation and enabling delivery of Teamwork Trust's strategic objectives.
About Teamwork
Teamwork Trust provides support to autistic adults and adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities. We deliver an outcomes-based progression service in a supportive environment where individuals make new friends, access education, employment and volunteering experience and develop self-esteem and confidence. Support is provided by a staffing workforce, working in all locations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the finance function and financial strategy.
- Produce budgets, forecasts and management information.
- Lead audit, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Support the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee and Board.
- Drive financial improvement and organisational sustainability.
Job Purpose
The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for leading the finance function and ensuring the charity remains financially sustainable, well governed and compliant. The postholder will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, audit, risk management, taxation, financial systems and business partnering. They will provide high-quality financial information to the CEO, Trustees and the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee, whilst promoting a culture of financial accountability and continuous improvement.
The role can be offered as full-time 37.5 hours per week, or 30 hours per week. It'll be based at one of our three sites - in Corby, Kettering, or Wellingborough - with travel across all sites as required.
We're looking for
A qualified accountant with senior finance experience, strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Charity experience is advantageous but not essential.

Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Senior finance leadership, budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, audit, governance.
- Financial analysis, communication, leadership, planning, compliance and risk management.
- Integrity, professionalism, collaborative approach, commitment to Teamwork Trust values.
Desirable
- Charity finance qualification.
- Experience working in a charity or values-led organisation.
- Charity/not-for-profit finance, Xero, Gift Aid, VAT partial exemption experience.
- Business improvement and digital finance experience.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.
