Part Time 15 - 20 hours per week.
Your role is to enable the Surgery to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment.
Accountable for ensuring that the practice policies and procedures are followed which support the design and delivery of the services are implemented by your team within the Surgery.
We require you to deliver the highest standards of customer service at all times, work well under pressure, and a good telephone manner.
The Receptionist will develop good working relationships with:
- PatientsReception/admin teams
- Surgery Managers and the Senior Colleagues
- GP, nurses and other surgery staff
- Other local healthcare providers who work with the Surgery
- Greet all visitors in a professional and friendly manner
The Suitable Medical Receptionist will:
- Have previous work history in a similar fast paced environment
- Possess knowledge and experience of EMIS Web
- Demonstrate an outgoing, friendly personality with a desire to meet new people
- Have the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
- Have the ability to stay calm under pressure and to be able to multi-task in a similar environment
- Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to the changing working practices of a busy medical environment
- Have good administrative, IT and keyboard skills
- Answer incoming phone calls, dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Register new patients in a timely manner, educating them on the practice booking options
- Identify and understand patient needs and requirements, through appropriate questioning
- Maintain high standards of patient confidentiality.
- Carry out all necessary general office duties
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
