Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light snacks with precision and care
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to take orders and answer questions
- Manage cash register transactions accurately while balancing cash at the end of shifts
- Keep the workspace tidy by cleaning equipment, counters, and dining areas regularly
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on positive customer interactions
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Experience with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
