Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage and handling of materials within the manufacturing and warehouse areas. The role ensures materials are available to support production while maintaining accurate stock records and high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Working Hours: Full-time positions: 37.5 hours per week
- 6:00 – 14:30 Monday to Thursday, 6:00 – 11:30 Friday
- 14:30 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:30 – 17:00 Friday
The role would predominantly more daytime hours, but to cover both shifts in times of absence and cross training
Responsibilities
- Receive, check, move and store raw materials and components.
- Supply materials to production areas in line with production requirements.
- Ensure materials are correctly labelled, stored and handled.
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support stock checks.
- Use warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts, where authorised.
- Follow company procedures for material handling, storage and traceability.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect materials to the relevant team.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work closely with Warehouse, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth material flow
Personal Specifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or material handling environment is desirable.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow company procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically able to handle and move materials as required.
- Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment would be advantageous.

- Morecambe LA3 3BN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
