Utopia Spaces Ltd is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our workshop team in Prenton.
We’re a small, hardworking team producing bespoke joinery and interiors for clients across the retail, hospitality, exhibition and events sectors. We’re looking for someone with bench joinery experience who takes pride in their work, can use their initiative, and is comfortable working as part of a relaxed but busy workshop environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manufacturing bespoke joinery items in the workshop
- Reading and working from technical drawings, cutting lists and job specifications
- Using woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately
- Assembling and finishing joinery items to a high standard
- Working with a range of materials including sheet materials, solid timber and veneers
- Carrying out quality checks throughout production
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Working closely with the rest of the team to keep jobs moving and meet deadlines
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a Bench Joiner or similar joinery role
- Good all-round woodworking skills and a strong eye for detail
- Confidence reading and working from technical drawings
- Competence using workshop machinery and hand tools
- A practical, reliable and proactive approach to work
- Someone who can work independently, use their initiative and also fit well within a small team
- Good awareness of workshop health and safety
Desirable but not essential
- Joinery or carpentry qualifications
- Experience in bespoke or commercial joinery
- Any knowledge of CNC machining or spray finishing
