Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
- Manage and motivate a team of bartenders, servers, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards, including culinary experience in food production and kitchen practices
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus, including cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic options
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain stock levels by ordering supplies in a timely manner; monitor inventory to minimise waste
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Organise staff schedules, training sessions (including barista experience if applicable), and performance reviews
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews
- Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives and special events
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production and kitchen operations
- Experience working as a barista or in beverage service is advantageous
- Familiarity with managing stock levels, organising staff rotas, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
