Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within private homes, hotels, or commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating a welcoming environment for clients. Prior experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
We work in teams of 2 so you will be paired with a cleaning buddy, however there may be occasions when you are required to work solo.
This is a self employed role and intially work will be ad hoc. However for the right person work will quickly build up.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Change bed linens and organise rooms to ensure a high standard of presentation
- Clean bathrooms and kitchens, ensuring all fixtures and surfaces are hygienic and spotless
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products as needed
- Organise laundry services including washing, drying, ironing and folding clothes or linens
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests politely and professionally
Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment usage
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good time management to complete tasks efficiently within allocated schedules
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to different client needs and environments
- Additional skills such as ironing and declutterring experience are considered a plus but are not mandatory

Drivers with access to their own vehicle and correct insurance cover is advantageous, mileage is paid to all drivers.
Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
