Are you passionate about hair and eager to start a career in hairdressing? Art in London salon in Teddington are offering a vacancy for a Level 2 Hairdressing Apprentice to join our team!
What You'll Learn
As an Apprentice, you’ll receive full training and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of hairdressing, including:
- Basic cutting techniques
- Shampooing and conditioning hair
- Reception and customer service duties
- General housekeeping tasks
- Mixing and applying colours
- Greeting and consulting with clients
You'll also develop valuable insight into the daily operations of a busy salon. Full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- 24+ hours per week, Including Saturdays
- Specific days and shifts to be confirmed
Apprenticeship Details
- Duration: 18 months
- Level: Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing (Level 2)
- Training Location: In-salon, with a mix of theory and practical learning
- Functional Skills: English and Maths included (if required)
Training Units Include:
- Style and finish hair
- Set and dress hair
- Cut hair using basic techniques
- Colour and lighten hair
- Shampoo, condition, and treat the hair and scalp
- Advise and consult with clients
- Perm and neutralise hair
- Develop and maintain effectiveness at work
Desired Skills
- Good timekeeping
- Able to work independently
- Presentable and professional appearance
- Some hairdressing experience in shampooing and blow-drying would be advantageous but full training will be provided
