Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Self-Employed Emotional Development Coach for our innovative program, Space To Bee. In this role, you will empower children to explore and develop their emotional intelligence through engaging, supportive activities tailored to their unique needs. As an independent contractor, you will create a nurturing environment that fosters resilience, self-awareness, and positive social skills, helping young minds thrive emotionally and socially. Your expertise will inspire confidence and growth in children while promoting a safe and inclusive space for learning and development.
Duties
- Design and deliver age-appropriate emotional development activities that promote self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring sessions to support children’s individual emotional needs and growth.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or educators to create personalized development plans aligned with each child's goals.
- Observe children during activities to assess emotional progress and identify areas needing additional support.
- Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress notes, and developmental milestones for each child.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages open communication and emotional expression.
- Stay informed about best practices in emotional development, special education, and youth work to continually enhance program quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children in educational or youth-focused settings.
- Strong understanding of emotional development principles, including techniques for fostering resilience and social-emotional skills.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs or require tailored support strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging activities that motivate children to participate actively in their emotional growth.
- Relevant certifications in teaching, youth work, mentoring, or special education are highly desirable.
- Passionate about empowering children to develop healthy emotional habits and confident self-expression.
