We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Customer Service & Quality Support Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service background combined with food science or quality assurance experience. Food science or quality assurance experience is not essential but a benefit. You will be responsible for responding to customer enquiries via email and phone promptly and professionally, provide technical support and answer product-related questions (specs, testing, regulatory info, COAs and test results, coordinate and organise customer returns, processing orders, quoting orders, managing returns. Salary: £30,0000 – £35000 depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide technical support and answer product-related questions (specs, testing, regulatory info).
- Coordinate and organise customer returns.
- Process orders.
- Send Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and laboratory test analysis reports.
- Support quality investigations and customer complaint follow-ups.
- Process and print customer orders accurately.
REQUIREMENTS
- Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related qualification would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in customer service within a food, ingredient, or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with documents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organisational skills and good computer proficiency.
