Join Our Cleaning Team
We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and committed individuals to join our team of Bank School Cleaners.
As a School Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. Working as part of a friendly team, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are achieved throughout the school.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys contributing to a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, communal areas, and specialist teaching spaces.
- Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with agreed schedules and standards.
- Safely operating cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor cleaning machinery.
- Using cleaning chemicals and materials in line with COSHH regulations and training provided.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Emptying bins and managing waste in line with school procedures.
- Reporting maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, or equipment faults.
- Supporting deep-cleaning projects during school holidays and school closure periods.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all cleaning duties are completed effectively.
Hours: Flexible hours available before school (morning shifts) and after school, holiday work also available
- Ages 16–20: £11.50 per hour
- Ages 21+: £12.85 per hour
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Be aged 16 or over
- Have high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Be reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a positive approach and strong work ethic.
- Be committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
