Administrative Support – Planning (Admin & Clerical)
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Mon – Fri, 08:00 – 17:00
Contract: Temporary, 3-month assignment (with potential extension)
We're recruiting an Administrative Support Officer to join Council's Planning team. This is a key support role, ideal for someone organised, reliable, and confident working in a busy office environment.
About the Role
As an Administrative Support Officer, you'll provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of planning services.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing general administrative and clerical support to the Planning team
- Handling emails, telephone calls, and correspondence
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Data entry and document management
- Supporting colleagues with day-to-day office tasks
- Assisting with scheduling, filing, and reporting as required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
