Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Window and Door Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for on-site measuring and installing upvc windows and doors across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and durability. Duties
- Measure openings accurately and prepare surfaces for window and door installation
- Install, secure, and seal windows and doors using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Remove old fixtures carefully to prevent damage to surrounding structures
- Ensure all installations comply with schematics, building codes, and safety regulations
- Conduct quality checks to verify proper fit, operation, and insulation of installed units
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, masonry, or general building work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings for precise installations
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow safety protocols diligently
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components
