We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport and Distribution Clerk to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the processing and organisation of distribution orders and shipments
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and delivery schedules
- Input data efficiently using data entry systems and update records regularly
- Utilise Microsoft Office programmes, including Word and Excel, for reporting and documentation
- Manage correspondence via email and phone, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Support the team with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document management
- Use QuickBooks for invoicing and financial record keeping related to distribution activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely fulfilment of orders
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Proven office experience or administrative background is preferred
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with high accuracy
- Good data entry skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Previous clerical or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided as needed
