Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and fitting of kitchen units and cabinetry, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in carpentry and related trades to contribute to quality home improvement projects. The position involves working on-site across various residential and commercial properties, delivering precise and durable kitchen fittings.
Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install kitchen units, cabinets, worktops, and appliances in accordance with project specifications.
- Utilise a range of hand tools and power tools to carry out fabrication and assembly tasks efficiently.
- Conduct joinery work including fitting shelves, drawers, doors, and other fixtures with precision.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, trimming, and finishing to ensure seamless integration of fitted units.
- Assist with the removal of old kitchen fittings and prepare work areas for new installations.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Undertake additional construction-related tasks such as roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work if required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or similar trades.
- Proficiency using hand tools (e.g., saws, drills) and power tools (e.g., jigsaws, sanders).
- Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, masonry or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings and project plans accurately.
- Valid UK driving licence and vehicle for travel purposes.
- Commitment to health and safety standards on site.
