Ready to kickstart your driving career? If you’ve had a valid UK driving licence for more than 2 years, join us as a Trainee HGV Driver at SIG Insulation & Dry Lining where you'll embark on our in-house Driving School programme.

Trainee HGV Driver

During your first 14 weeks, you’ll drive a 3.5-ton van as we prepare you to upgrade to your ‘C’ category (HGV) driving licence.

Don’t worry if you’re new to driving a HGV - we’ll guide you through the entire process. From covering the costs of your training and medical assessments to offering time off for your Theory & Hazard tests and Driver Training, we’ve got you covered.

Once you’ve completed your training and passed the necessary tests, you'll be promoted to a HGV Driver role, with a pay increase to match! It’s a win-win, and we’ll have you delivering with confidence in no time! With our Monday to Friday shift pattern, you’ll have plenty of time to relax, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work.

What you'll be doing:

Delivering Insulation, Dry Lining and other building related products safely and professionally to our customers.
Keeping customers in the loop with pre-delivery communication, so they know exactly when to expect you.
Ensuring that customer orders are delivered to their preferred location using our lorry mounted forklift trucks.
Working alongside your team and senior managers to provide feedback and improve service standards.
Represent SIG Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

What you will bring:

A valid UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
At least 2 years of driving experience, with no drink/drug driving convictions.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
