About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to our residents. You will work closely with colleagues, GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure each resident receives the highest standard of personalised care in a warm and welcoming environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge and nursing practice
- A good understanding of CQC standards and current regulatory requirements
- Experience in the safe administration of medication
- Experience creating person-centred care plans and detailed risk assessments
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A caring, professional and positive attitude
- A teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification (desirable)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Assess, monitor and accurately record residents' clinical observations and condition.
- Develop, review and update person-centred care plans.
- Complete and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Carry out clinical and environmental risk assessments.
- Administer medication safely in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policies.
- Monitor residents' nutrition, hydration and overall wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with GPs and the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise, support and mentor care staff and junior nurses.
- Prepare residents for treatments, procedures and examinations where appropriate.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure the safe storage and disposal of medication.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development.
- Assist with the investigation of complaints, incidents or safeguarding concerns where required.
- Maintain continuing professional development (CPD) and NMC registration.
- Report any concerns or issues arising during each shift.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Current NMC Registration
- Minimum of one year's nursing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions under pressure
- Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care
Desirable
- IV therapy skills
- Syringe Driver training
- Venepuncture training
- Mentoring or supervision experience
