We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a solo EBD children's home in Hayes, This is a unique opportunity to join a growing provider committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a nurturing, therapeutic environment for a young person with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will have the autonomy to shape the service, build a strong team, and drive excellent standards of care while being supported by an experienced senior leadership team.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring the home operates in full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Leading the day-to-day management of the home and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care.
- Recruiting, managing, and developing a dedicated residential care team.
- Creating a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment that promotes positive outcomes for the young person.
- Managing staffing, rotas, budgets, and operational performance effectively.
- Taking overall responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, and external professionals.
- Monitoring and improving service quality, ensuring the home is consistently working towards achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
- Supporting care planning, risk management, and behavioural support strategies tailored to the needs of the young person.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it).
- At least 2 years’ experience in a management or senior leadership role within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and children's residential legislation.
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD and complex needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- The ability to build and develop a positive team culture.
- A resilient, child-focused approach with a genuine passion for improving young people's lives.
- A full UK driving licence.
