Learning Support Assistant
NJC Grade 3, SCP 3
27.05 hours per week, term time only (part-time hours considered)
Maximum of £15,269 per annum
We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated and welcoming SEND team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people by helping them overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the SENDCo/Assistant SENDCo, the Learning Support Assistant will, provide high-quality support for students with SEND, enabling them to access learning, make progress and achieve their potential. The postholder will promote inclusion, independence and positive outcomes through effective collaboration with staff, students and families.
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, reliable and passionate about supporting young people. You do not need previous experience working in a school to apply. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling to build positive and supportive relationships with students, staff and families. What matters most is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
Full training and support will be provided, and for the right candidate there may be opportunities to undertake relevant qualifications or apprenticeships to support future career development.
The core hours for this role are 8:30am to 2:45pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. We are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements, and part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
