Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across all areas of the facility, including specialised hospital environments if applicable.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all areas meet organisational standards and health regulations.
- Train and mentor cleaning staff, promoting best practices in hygiene, safety, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, address deficiencies, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper maintenance.
- Enforce health and safety protocols to minimise risks associated with cleaning operations.
- Liaise with management to plan special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training sessions, and inspection reports.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is essential.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience as a Head Housekeeper or similar role is highly desirable.
- Experience working within hospital environments or healthcare settings is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
- Excellent communication skills to lead a team effectively and liaise with other departments.

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
