Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Practitioner to lead our baby room in either our Queen's Hill Newport branch or Star Trading estate in Caerleon.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in a nursery setting.
This full-time position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of practitioners.
42.5hrs per week over 5 days
Duties
- Deliver outstanding care and education to children aged 0-2 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the Welsh curriculum
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships within the nursery environment.
- Manage daily nursery operations, including supervising staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the professional development of junior staff through mentoring and leadership.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare services provided within the nursery.
Experience
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
- A minimum of 2yrs proven experience working with babies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to promoting children's development through play-based learning.
- Experience in managing childcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
