Brighton Nursery is an established 88 place nursery in Portobello, Edinburgh.
Children in the nursery are aged 6 months to 5 years. Duties include setting up for morning snack and lunch, serving food and tidying up afterwards. Tables and highchairs are cleaned, floors swept or mopped, dishwasher stacked. There may be some kitchen duties including preparing vegetables or baking a cake. Other duties include tidying, dusting, restocking paper towels, soap etc. Hours are 9.15am - 3.45pm Monday to Thursday and 9.15am - 2pm on Fridays.
Prior experience may be helpful but not essential. Excellent communication skills are required. The main requirement is that you are cheerful, enthusiastic and relate well to children as you will be supporting them at mealtimes and snacks. You will be working with the nursery cook.
Disclosure Scotland/PVG scheme membership check is required.
Wage dependent on age and experience.
There may be an opportunity for continued employment after the maternity cover period.
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.75 per week
