Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
- Present menus, explain menu items, take orders accurately, and answer questions regarding menu items and specials.
- Provide recommendations and offer suggestions to guests when requested, considering their preferences and dietary needs.
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food, beverages, and service; address any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, chairs, and dining utensils.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions according to restaurant procedures.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all aspects of service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service principles, including wine pairing and menu details.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle difficult situations with patience and diplomacy.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the restaurant's schedule.
