Responsibilities
- Operate road sweeping machinery safely and efficiently across various routes in Milton Keynes
- Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Follow scheduled routes and adhere to traffic regulations and safety standards
- Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment or materials when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and route logs
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle after each shift and report any damages or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with roadsweepers
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles
- Previous experience as a Roadsweeper is advantageous
- Ability to operate specialised street cleaning machinery with confidence and safety awareness
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, follow schedules, and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to urban road maintenance
