Responsibilities:
- Washing all utensils and equipment as per the designated cleaning schedules to meet the required standard.
- Ensuring all hand wash stations and chemical dosing points are topped up to ensure a continuous supply of chemicals and blue towels.
- To collect and remove waste in a hygienic manner.
- To clean and sterilize factory processing areas and equipment as per the cleaning procedures, and complete the appropriate paperwork on a daily/weekly/periodic basis.
- To behave in a clean and hygienic manner at all times that does not the food safety, legality and quality of the products.
- To support the production team as needed
- To maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, particularly in relation to dress, head gear, frequent hand washing and use of antibacterial gels.
- To ensure that they only enter areas of food production for which they are authorised, and only do so after dressing in the appropriate protective clothing.
- Must participate in all food hygiene training as requested within work time.
- Complete all other tasks as reasonably requested.
Skills required:
- Must be hard working and reliable, this is a physically demanding work environment.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible approach to work in relation to shift working and additional hours during busy periods.
- This role is based in a very busy production unit, hence should be able to handle pressure and work as a team.
