Exam Access Arrangements Assessor
We are looking for a dedicated Exam Access Arrangements Assessor to join an educational support team from September, working 3 to 4 days per week. This is a great opportunity for a qualified professional to play a key role in ensuring learners are provided with fair and appropriate support during examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate exam access arrangements for individual learners
- Collaborate with teaching staff, students, and parents/carers to understand specific needs and implement suitable support measures
- Prepare detailed reports outlining assessment findings and recommended adjustments
- Ensure all assessments comply with current educational policies, JCQ regulations, and safeguarding standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, decisions, and follow-up actions
- Stay informed of developments in SEND legislation and access arrangements guidance
- Provide advice on reasonable adjustments that promote fairness and equal opportunity in examinations
- Support the coordination of exam logistics relating to access arrangements, liaising with internal teams and examination boards where required
Experience & Requirements
- Level 7 qualification in Access Arrangements (essential)
- Previous experience in a teaching or educational support role (highly desirable)
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assessments effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to interpret assessment data and make informed, professional recommendations
- A compassionate and learner-focused approach
- Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
