Job description:
As a transport planner at Whitkirk Waste Solutions Ltd, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimising our transport operations, Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will assist with the efficient and timely movement of vehicles, contributing to our mission of sustainability. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced enviroment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan and schedule transportation routes.
-Coordinate with Transport manager, drivers, clients and operational staff to ensure smooth transport operations.
-Monitor and track vehicle movements using GPS and other tracking systems.
-Address and resolve any transportation issues or delays promptly.
-Support the transport team in administrative tasks and documentation.
-Be able to work a Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in transport planning or logistics is preferred.
-Strong organisational and time management skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Proficient in software and technology.
-An understanding of transport regulations and compliance.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-High attention to detail and problem solving skills.
-Valid drivers licence is a plus.
