Duties
- Use cutting tools and machinery to precisely cut fabric according to pattern templates and specifications
- Organize fabric rolls and manage material inventory efficiently to optimize workflow
- Follow detailed cutting instructions provided by designers or pattern makers
- Ensure all cuts meet quality standards, minimizing waste and errors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to promote safety and productivity
- Collaborate with sewing teams to ensure seamless transition from fabric cutting to assembly
- Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, consistency, and quality before passing them on for sewing or assembly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or manufacturing setting is preferred
- Basic sewing knowledge is a plus, aiding understanding of fabric handling and pattern alignment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity for precise cutting tasks
- Ability to read and interpret pattern diagrams, measurements, and instructions clearly
- Comfortable working with cutting tools, machinery, and handling various fabrics safely
- Good organizational skills to manage materials efficiently and meet production deadlines
