We are now looking for a motivated and reliable, experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive supervisory experience, or for an ambitious warehouse professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role
Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately receiving and booking in stock
- Ensuring stock records are kept accurate and up to date
- Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Organising and maintaining a safe, tidy and efficient warehouse
- Supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the branch
- Helping to maintain high standards of stock control
- Assisting and communicating with customers when required
- Supporting and working alongside other members of the team
- Occasional driving duties when required
This is a varied, hands-on role, so we are looking for someone who is happy to get involved and take responsibility.
About You
Previous warehouse supervisory/management experience would be essential.
You will have:
- Previous warehouse or stock control experience
- A reliable and organised approach to work
- Strong attention to detail
- The confidence to take responsibility and use your initiative
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and a good sense of humour
- A full UK driving licence, which is essential
- A forklift licence would be advantageous, but is not essential
- The ability to lead a small team.
