We are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager to join Church Farm Care at Rusticus. The home is based in Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire.
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join to support the existing management team comprised of a Registered Home Manager who has been in post for 3 years, Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead.
The home in a rural setting on the outskirts of a village provides residential, dementia and nursing care, current capacity is 93 residents. The home is based in a beautiful landscaped outdoor environment. Church Farm Care is a market leading provider for excellent dementia care supporting families across Nottinghamshire.
Church Farm at Rusticus is supported by a strong central team of professional supporting functions that include operations, assessments and admissions support, training, quality, H&S and HR.
The home is currently rated at band 5 and rated 9.6 on carehome.co.uk.
About the role:
- Full time permanent position working 40 hours per week (4 shifts per week)
- Requirement to work alternative weekends
- 3 shifts per week will be supernumerary (9am - 6.15pm)
- 1 shift per week will be working on the floor (8am - 8.15pm)
- The role will be working back to back with another Deputy Manager to provide 7-day a week cover for the home.
- The starting pay rate is £24 per hour
Experience, skills and qualifications
We are seeking a passionate Deputy Manager who:
- has previous experience working in healthcare as a Deputy Manager (minimum 2 years experience)
- has or would be willing to obtain level 5 diploma in leadership and management
- has a strong background in elderly care.
- is able to lead and inspire a team of nursing, care and support staff.
- is able to foster positive relationships quickly with visiting professionals and families.
- has a proven track record in compliance with GOOD or OUTSTANDING outcomes with CQC
- it is desirable the candidate is a Registered Nurse with valid PIN number
- it is desirable the candidate is medication trained, or would be willing to be medication trained
Day to day responsibilities
- To oversee and maintain a high quality of care of the people who live at Church Farm.
- In the absence of the Home Manager, to take responsibility for the day to day running of the home, and ensure that all Company policies and procedures and all legal requirements are adhered to within the defined timescales.
- To provide professional advice and support to other team members on all aspects of the care provision.
- To be responsible and accountable for the management of the dementia care approach and will ensure the timely provision of care ensuring the supervision, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
- To be responsible for ensuring a positive learning environment for all staff, overseeing the provision of training opportunities and meet the needs of all members of the care team.
- To be innovative in maintaining an environment that is conducive to the delivery and maintenance of a high standard of care for the people living here.
