Job Overview
We are currently recruiting a skilled Forklift Driver to join our client dynamic team based in Andover. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse. This role is vital in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
Candidates would need to hold a valid forklift license for this position.
Available shifts: WEEKEND ONLY ( 12hr shift)
DAY: SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 7AM TO 7PM - from £17,095.20 - £18,295.21 per annum
and
NIGHTS: FRIDAY AND SATURDAY - 7PM TO 7 AM. from £17,695.20 - £18,895.20 per annum
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials , ensuring safe handling practices.
- Picking orders.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and meet delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment in the warehouse environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proficient in materials handling with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Basic maths skills for accurate inventory management and record keeping.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge for performing basic repairs on equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, including certification where applicable.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
