Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily kitchen activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help uphold our high standards of service and hospitality excellence.
Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use
- Support with stock rotation and inventory organization to ensure freshness and safety
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with health and safety standards
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for hospitality and customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
