Overview
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Manage guest reservations and room allocations efficiently
- Handle guest enquiries both in person and via telephone with professionalism and courtesy
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
- Process payments accurately and issue receipts or invoices as required
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of bookings and guest details using hotel management software
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared for new guests
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when communicating with guests and suppliers
- Support administrative tasks such as answering emails, managing schedules, and handling correspondence
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure in a busy environment
- Knowledge of guest services principles and hospitality industry standards is advantageous
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- A friendly personality with a genuine desire to deliver outstanding guest experiences
