Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Room Leader to oversee daily operations within our early childhood education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met through engaging activities and effective management of staff. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of childcare professionals whilst fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, relevant childcare experience, and excellent communication abilities to support the growth and wellbeing of our young learners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
- Monitor children's progress and behaviour, providing feedback to parents and carers as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
- Maintain a well-organised classroom environment that encourages learning through play.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage daily administrative tasks such as attendance records, activity planning documentation, and communication logs.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training initiatives.
Experience
- L3 or Equivilant in Childcare
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
- Previous nursery or childcare experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required.

Hours - 7am - 6pm

52 Weeks of the Year
Pay: £29,432.00 per year
