Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Officer to join our care home team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Monitor residents' health conditions, report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff.
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and promote their independence.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, medication administration, and any incidents or observations.
- Ensure the care environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, subject to holding a valid driving licence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating compassion and patience.
- A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals’ health and wellbeing.
