Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse activities, supporting materials handling, shipping & receiving processes. Duties
- Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and preparing customer orders
- Operate forklifts safely and confidently to load, unload, and move heavy goods within the warehouse
- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, update records, and ensure accurate stock control
- Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet company standards before dispatch or storage
- Perform heavy lifting safely during stock replenishment and order activities
- Keeping warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Delivering and collecting goods when required.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling and stock management
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one upon hire
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and load/unload operations safely
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality checks
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
Pay: £25,420.00-£40,168.23 per year
