Stillarc Site Services Ltd is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator / Pipefitter to join our growing team.
The role will mainly involve working on industrial sites carrying out a mixture of welding, fabrication, pipework, mechanical installation, plant maintenance and general site work. We also carry out fabrication work from our workshop.
We are not looking for someone who necessarily has experience in every area. Applicants may come from a welding, fabrication, pipefitting, mechanical fitting or industrial maintenance background.
The most important things for us are good industrial site experience, a strong work ethic, practical ability and someone who can be trusted to get on with a job without needing constant supervision.
Typical work includes:
- Stainless and carbon steel pipework
- Measuring, fitting and installing pipework
- Welding and fabrication
- Installation of pumps, valves and associated equipment
- General mechanical installation
- Plant repairs and maintenance
- Steelwork, brackets, supports and small structures
- Removal and replacement of existing plant and equipment
- Working from drawings and site measurements
- Working alongside other trades and client personnel on operational sites
The majority of our work is carried out on industrial sites around Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, Wirral and the surrounding areas, although occasional travel further afield may be required.
Applicants should ideally have at least 5 years' relevant experience within welding, fabrication, pipefitting, mechanical installation or industrial maintenance.
Experience working on operational industrial sites is particularly important. Applicants should be comfortable working under permit-to-work systems, following RAMS and communicating professionally with clients and other site personnel.
We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team but is also capable of working independently and taking responsibility for getting jobs completed properly and efficiently.
Welding qualifications and codings would be beneficial but are not essential. Strong pipefitting or fabrication experience would also be beneficial, but we are primarily looking for someone with the right overall site experience and attitude.
A full UK driving licence is required.
Pay: £22.00 per hour PAYE
Hours: 40 hours per week, plus overtime when available.
Overtime, weekend and shutdown work is regularly available.
This is a permanent position with the opportunity to develop and take on more responsibility as the company continues to grow.
