Are you a Life Changer? Do you want to lean in and transform the life of a child?
Compass Community puts children first through our therapeutic, innovative approach. Integrity, Courage and Care shape how we work. We listen deeply, challenge each other and fix what needs fixing, together.
This is the work. And we’d like you to be part of it.
We are recruiting for a Night Time Residential Worker role within one of our 4-bedded Learning Disabilities Children's Homes, supporting four wonderful young boys aged under 11.
Waking nights play a vital role in helping children feel safe, supported and cared for throughout the night. While the world sleeps, you will be a reassuring and consistent presence, helping our children feel secure, comforted and valued. Whether that means reading a bedtime story before they settle down, offering reassurance if they wake during the night, or simply being there when they need someone, your care and support can make a lasting difference.
As part of the morning routine, you'll help the boys start their day positively and confidently. From encouraging independence and helping them get ready for school, to supporting with simple but important tasks such as tying shoelaces, finding favourite toys, and celebrating the small achievements that mean so much. This home is truly one filled with laughter, personality and fun.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 09:30pm - 07:30am
If you prefer nights to days and want to make a genuine difference in a child's life, this could be the perfect role for you. The recruitment process aims to create and maintain a safe workforce and contains robust vetting procedures. The successful applicants will be appointed subject to references and enhanced DBS check. To be successful in your application you will be subject to a rigorous safer recruitment process and must always adhere to a strict code of conduct regarding your behaviour.
