We are currently seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting the culinary team in food preparation and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation.
Duties:
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept tidy and organised.
- Support the chefs during service by ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
