Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in Newlands Community Hall on the Berewood Estate, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all. This position requires a person to work on their own, completing set tasks on weekday mornings. In addition, Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on bookings.
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, toilets, kitchen, and hall.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address any specific cleaning requests or concerns.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
