Second Bridge Nightclub is one of the area's busiest late-night venues, delivering unforgettable nights out with great music, excellent drinks, and outstanding customer service. We're looking for energetic, hard-working individuals to join our front-of-house team and help create an exceptional experience for every guest.
The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Nightclub Bartender who enjoys working in a fast-paced nightlife environment. This is a varied role, perfect for someone who is flexible and happy to support different areas of the venue. Alongside serving drinks, you'll also assist with glass collecting, cloakroom operations, reception duties, and occasional VIP hosting when required.
Previous bar experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and responsibly.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service at all times.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and stock levels behind the bar.
- Follow all licensing laws, Challenge 25 procedures, and company policies.
Glass Collecting & Floor Support:
- Collect used glasses and bottles from bars, dance floors, seating areas, and VIP sections.
- Ensure glassware is washed, polished, and restocked.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the venue.
Cloakroom Duties:
- Safely store and organise guests' belongings.
- Issue and manage cloakroom tickets efficiently.
- Deliver fast, friendly service during busy periods.
Reception & Entry Support:
- Welcome guests with a positive first impression.
- Assist with guest lists, ticket enquiries, and entry information.
- Support door staff and management where required.
VIP Hosting (Occasional):
- Assist with VIP table service and bottle presentations.
- Ensure VIP guests receive outstanding customer service.
- Support seating arrangements and guest requests.
- Work closely with management and security to ensure smooth VIP operations.
What We're Looking For:
- A positive, energetic, and reliable attitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment.
- A team player who is happy to support different areas of the venue.
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and late-night shifts.
Shift Times:
Our busiest periods are during evenings and weekends, with shifts typically running:
- Monday: 10:30 pm – Close
- Tuesday: 10:30 pm– Close
- Wednesday: 10:30 pm – Close
- Thursday: 10:30 pm – Close
- Friday: 10:30 pm – Close
- Saturday: 10:30 pm – Close
Additional shifts may be available for special events and peak trading periods.
