Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support our educational team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children, especially those with special educational needs. The role involves assisting teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment and providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism and other disabilities. Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities and assist teachers in delivering lesson plans effectively
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and mentoring to students requiring additional help
- Assist students with special educational needs, including those with autism or other disabilities, ensuring they feel supported and included
- Help create a nurturing environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
- Observe and report on student progress, behaviour, and any concerns to the teaching staff
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social skills and independence
- Support the organisation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Participate in training sessions to develop specialised skills in working with individuals with disabilities
Qualifications
- Prior experience or interest in special education or working with children is desirable
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting young learners’ development
- Ability to work patiently and empathetically with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Organised and proactive approach to supporting classroom activities
- Willingness to undertake training related to special educational needs and inclusive practices

Pay: £97.68-£154.57 per day
