About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee / Junior Land Surveyor & Measured Building Surveyor to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in surveying, working on a variety of projects across the UK. You will gain hands-on experience in both site-based surveying and office-based data processing, using the latest survey technology and industry-standard software.
Full training and ongoing development will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Site Surveying
- Assist with and carry out topographical, measured building and engineering surveys.
- Operate surveying equipment including Leica Robotic total station, GPS and scanner.
- Collect accurate survey data in accordance with project requirements.
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Data Processing & CAD
- Download, process and manage survey data.
- Produce survey drawings using AutoCAD, including:
- Topographical surveys
- Floor plans
- Elevations
- Sections
- Process and extract information from point cloud data.
- Assist with project delivery, quality control and survey documentation.
Essential Requirements
- Competent user of AutoCAD.
- Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home when required.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in land surveying, measured building surveying or built environment.
- Familiarity with Robotic Total stations, GPS and Laser Scanners.
- Knowledge of N4ce, Cyclone register and AutoCAD.
- Qualification in Surveying or closely related in Built Environment will be an advantage
